ARTED Secretary General Ferda Bayşu attended the HÜ-SESPAM Consultation Meeting.

ARTED Secretary General Ferda Bayşu participated in the consultation meeting titled “Transforming Today’s Challenges into Tomorrow’s Opportunities: An Evaluation of Türkiye’s Healthcare System from the Perspectives of Governance, Workforce, Financing, and Public Health”, organized by the Hacettepe University Center for Health Economics and Health Policy Research and Practice (HÜ-SESPAM) on 23 June 2026.

Bringing together representatives from the public sector, academia, and the healthcare industry, the meeting addressed the current state and future of Türkiye’s healthcare system through a multidimensional policy perspective. Key topics included the sustainability of healthcare services, strengthening healthcare financing mechanisms, human resources planning, the effectiveness of governance structures, public health practices, and emerging opportunities within the evolving healthcare ecosystem.

During the discussions, participants highlighted that the ongoing transformation of healthcare systems presents significant opportunities to improve the delivery of care in a more effective, accessible, predictable, and personalized manner. At the same time, new policy needs were emphasized in areas such as data security, digital inequalities, healthcare workforce transformation, sustainable financing models, and regulatory capacity.

Such multi-stakeholder platforms, bringing together representatives from the Presidency, academia, public institutions, and the private sector, play a critical role in fostering shared understanding, developing solution-oriented policies, and strengthening dialogue among stakeholders regarding the future of healthcare systems.

As ARTED, we participated in this important meeting upon invitation, representing our sector. We will continue to closely follow policy development processes and ensure that the views of our members are effectively represented in relevant platforms.
